Who are we?
Each year, Fidos For Freedom at UMD launches a fundraiser where participants can get active and raise awareness and funds for Fidos For Freedom, Incorporated. Founded in August of 2019, our mission is to raise future service dogs for the local community, engage in outreach events, and provide a therapeutic outlet for our UMD club members. The 'Wag Your Tails' event is a way for anyone to get active from anywhere while supporting a great cause.
How does this event work?
University of Maryland participants will pledge to 'wag their tail' anyway they want and ask friends and family to 'sponsor' their movement. If you aren't a University of Maryland participant or sponsor, do not worry- you can still get active, contribute a general donation, or raise awareness for this great cause!
How can YOU get active?
- running
- walking your dog (or cat)
- lifting weights
- self-challenge (i.e. pull-ups for puppies)
- yoga
ANYONE can support us and our amazing puppies!
