From Puppy to Lifesaver... You Make It Possible
Meet Koa, a bright and determined puppy in training at Fidos For Freedom, Inc. She’s learning the skills that will one day transform someone’s life... helping veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those who are hearing-impaired live with independence, confidence, and hope.
Training a future service dog takes years of dedication, care, and resources. Every dollar you give helps provide Koa with the food, medical care, equipment, and expert training she needs to reach her full potential.
This Giving Tuesday, your gift doesn’t just support a puppy... it creates a lifesaver. Together, we can turn playful pups like Koa into heroes who change lives, one paw at a time.
💙 Donate today and be part of Koa’s journey from puppy to lifesaver.

Client Stories

In the last 35 years, over 100 service dog teams have been successfully matched through the Fidos For Freedom, Inc. assistance dog program. Fidos is a volunteer-run organization with over 350 volunteers and only 3 paid staff positions. As a volunteer-run non-profit, Fidos is committed to providing service dogs to clients with a minimal fee of $750 versus the $20,000 fee typically charged by other service dog organizations. At Fidos, the volunteers and clients are truly the heart of the organization.
As a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, Fidos relies on generous donations to provide these life-changing service dog partners to disabled individuals in the Baltimore/D.C. metro area. This Giving Tuesday (Giving Hope Day), we ask that you pledge to help a service dog in training on their journey. The table above outlines how your donation will help a dog in training each step of the way.
